Vibes of ’95 featuring The Blue Dogs, Jupiter Coyote, and Cravin’ Melon.
The Blue Dogs have been blending the genres they grew up with – bluegrass, country, rock & soul since 1987. “Turning bluegrass on its ear by creating what’s now referred to as ‘Americana’ or ‘alternative country’ before those terms were commonplace” [Charlotte Observer]. More than 30 years later, The Blue Dogs continue to perform unpredictable and upbeat live shows with original songs that capture a country-rock vibe.
Cravin’ Melon was formed at Clemson University in 1994 and gained popularity in the regional live music scene. In 1997, they signed to Mercury Records and released Red Clay Harvest. The album spawned a minor radio hit, “Come Undone”, which peaked at #37 on Billboard’s Mainstream Rock chart. The band’s style and geographical roots prompted frequent comparisons to contemporaries and tourmates Hootie & the Blowfish and Edwin McCain.
Jupiter Coyote are self-described Mountain Rock Legends. A mixture of good ole’ Southern Rock & Funky Appalachian Boogie.
