Drivin n Cryin return to Augusta, GA and the Miller Theater on Saturday, August 9.Atlanta-based folk rock act, Drivin N Cryin, have spent most of their career on tour. In October 1985 Drivin N Cryin played their first show at Atlanta’s famed 688 Club. Recent inductees to the Georgia Music Hall of Fame and the Wisconsin Music Hall of Fame, founding members Kevn Kinney and Tim Nielsen find themselves enjoying a continued legacy, having survived the pressures of fame, a shifting musical landscape and multiple lineup changes. The current lineup includes guitarist Laur Joamets (Sturgill Simpson) and longtime drummer Dave V Johnson. Josh Johnson: The Flowers Tour
With nearly 4 million followers across his social media, Josh Johnson was recently called “the funniest guy on the internet” by WIRED and is a star on the rise. He is an Emmy-nominated writer, stand-up comedian, actor, and NAACP award-winner from Louisiana by way of Chicago. Johnson is currently a correspondent on Comedy Central’s Emmy & Peabody Award-winning program The Daily Show where he was previously a writer for the past seven years. A Brother’s Revival: where Southern rock reigns supreme! Led by David “Rook” Goldflies, former Allman Brothers Band bassist, the band delivers a powerhouse performance of Allman Brothers classics. Joining forces with Rook is one of the Southern rock heavyweights: Mike Kach, former vocalist and keyboardist of Dickey Betts and Great Southern. The groundwork for A Brother’s Revival began prior to its establishment in 2019. David Goldflies (Rook) and his friend Gary Allman joined forces to form the Allman Goldflies Band (AGB) some years earlier. Eventually, Rook and Gary pursued different paths, and UltraArtists Agency from New Jersey approached Rook with the idea of building upon the AGB’s foundation. From that point, the band’s success grew exponentially.
